Thank you so much for these super-informative, succinct videos!

I wanted to ask about the two boxes you unchecked in the Host Gator sign-up for the security and privacy services – would there ever be a situation that you did want those services?

Thanks again so much for sharing all your knowledge!

Great question Brigitta! I unchecked those just because they are optional and add an additional cost. Basically the only one of those that you may want to consider is the WHOIS/privacy protection. When you register a domain name, your records are made public and are searchable online. For example, you can go to a site like http://whois.net and look up a domain name to find out who owns it. It will list your address information, which to some people can be a bit nerve racking if your working from home or have a home-based business and you don’t want people finding where you live. If you’re a business with an office address, you can put that one there and you’ll be fine (this is the address your customers can find you at anyways). But if you’re working from home and put your personal address in there, then you can pay a bit of money each year extra to hide that information. Hostgator will basically put their own address instead of yours, and if people try to contact them to get a hold of you, they’ll pass along the info to you privately.

Hope that helps answer your question!

Thank you so much for the speedy answer!! It absolutely answers my question. I supposed home-based folks can weigh the cost of, say, a PO Box to the domain privacy add-on and just decide what makes the most sense for them.

Thanks again for this, and for all your helpful pointers. 🙂

Yes, getting PO boxes or a mailbox at your local post office is quite affordable. I was surprised how low the cost was for a year! You can also check out stores like UPS which have mailboxes you can rent, and lets you use an actual business address instead of a PO Box (it’s best to have a real address vs. a PO box if possible). If you plan to incorporate your business, you can’t use PO boxes.

Was up at Shooter's Outpost in Hooksett NH a while back. Scored 250-rd packs of .380 and .38 Special. Also 200 rounds of 7.62×39. Not Walmart prices, but not bad..22LR can only be had by getting to Walmart at 7:00 on the day they happen to be stocking the previous night's delivery.

A very unlikely, but interesting couple in Bound to You… can't wait to read their story! I've not read anything by Beth Kery/Bethany Kane, but would really love to:)
