The new Panda update is all about helping Google identify websites with low-quality content, and is expected to affect 3-5% of all search queries. End results for site owners? Those sites with high quality content may rank higher, even if they’re small to medium sized sites.
Affiliate sites were some of the hardest hit; specifically, sites with a minimum of content designed to get visitors to click through to a sales page. Also, keyword stuffing pages and doorway pages took major hits, along with sites that use deception. Bottom line: If your site is all about getting the visitor to click through, odds are it’s dropped in rank in Google.
