I want to highlight a great new plugin that I came across recently called Rebump.cc.
Basically, it integrates with your Gmail email and gives you the ability to set up automated follow ups for anyone that you’ve emailed who hasn’t yet replied back. These automated emails are customized to appear as if you sent the email yourself. You get to type the follow up e-mails to be in your own style/wording and choose how soon they go out after the original email was sent and not replied to.
You can track and analyze all of your follow-up emails with your Rebump account, and you can set it up to send up to 4 followup emails. All free. Yes.. FREE!
But don’t confuse Rebump with Boomerang (another plugin I’ve talked about in the past). Boomerang puts emails back into your inbox to remind you of them. Rebump actually sends follow up e-mails to the people automatically behind the scenes, it doesn’t bring them back into your inbox, something which I really don’t want when I have a lot of people that haven’t got back to me. Personally I think the way Rebump does it is much better.
Setting it up is easy, there are 3 steps. First, visit the Rebump website and click the red ‘Add Rebump To Gmail’ button which installs the plugin into your Google Chrome or Firefox browser, next follow the step to connect your account to the service, finally click the button to authorize your account, and you’re ready to go. This makes working with prospects via email much more effective. Rather than trying to track it all yourself, you simply let Rebump automatically send short followup emails to get their attention and remind them to reply to you.
